Know the founder before
you sign.
Sibyl is where people share what a founder is really like to work with: how they treat people, whether they keep their word, how they act when no investor is watching. Look up any founder before you join, invest or partner.

“Talked over every woman in the room, then pitched our ideas as his own”
Worked for them · Product designer, 2024 to 2026
In design reviews he cut off the women on the team mid-sentence, then repeated the same idea five minutes later as if it were new. When I raised it in a 1:1 he said I was 'being sensitive' and should 'toughen up for startup life'.
I've now heard this from more than one person, and it's fair. I've started working with a coach, and our design leads present their own work in reviews. I'm sorry.

Built so it can’t be used as a weapon.
- Only members can read reviews. Nothing here appears on Google.
- Reviews describe what the founder did. A moderator checks every one.
- No phone numbers or personal addresses, ever.
- Anyone can report a review. What doesn't hold up comes down.
- Founders can reply to any review, once we confirm it's them.
- Good experiences count too. Vouch for founders who did right by you.
